Let's build a fairy house today
I love getting to play in the dirt and build fairy houses with the kids. It's so amazing to watch their little hands create and their faces light up with another idea for the new fairy house. I hope they are always this creative with their hands and minds.

Our family is complete!!
She's arrived...two weeks early but healthy and home at last!! I would say I went out in a BANG with this last baby, and by that I mean I finally got the labor and birth I wanted...and to think it only took four tries. I started having contractions that morning and although I had some contractions that night I was able to sleep and they really didn't pick up until 8:00ish that morning. I was fine although I was in a state of denial because I really was NOT ready for her to come...we had so much we still had to do. Jameson had just moved into his big boy bed 4-5 days ago...this was just to soon. lol Well as I was trying to convince myself as well as my husband that this was not the day and that I was NOT ready I also dealt with the contractions which I could handle ...until I couldn't..lol so Rick called my mom and the doula (which was a back-up doula because mine was at a homebirth with a mama who was 42 weeks pregnant) My mom arrived and I felt a little better but I think my husband sensed that I didn't like the confinements of the house so he suggested that we labor outside...so that's just what we did. I remember the sun would beam through the branches and warm my face, and at the same time I could feel the cool breeze flow through the air...the day was truly a gift that I will treasure forever.. I felt so much better having the kids go about their business outside as I walked around the yard with Rick. I loved watching the kids as they played and every so often they would check up on me to see how I was doing. I also remember the sun would beam through the branches and warm my face, and at the same time I could feel the cool breeze flow through the air...the day was truly a gift that I will treasure forever.. Amanda our back-up doula arrived and although I was a little nervous having someone I've never met be apart of something so magical...I felt already at ease with her presence. She knew what I needed before I even spoke. So I labored at home until about 3ish that afternoon, and that's when Amanda and my mom suggested we go to the hospital because things really seemed to pick up. When we arrived at the hospital I had to get a fetal monitor on as well as a hep lock because I has having another VBAC, and I also couldn't have any liquids or food...basically a caged animal with a nurse breathing down my back..lol I actually had to tell the nurse to look away because I was taking a drink of water with or without her permission. After 3 and 1/2-4 hours "it was time" for little Annabelle to arrived and out she flew after only a few good pushes oh and did I mention she was also OP or sunny side up. Joy and happiness filled that room at 7:28 on May 11th as little Annabelle graced us with her presence:)

Stash Bash
In joining Crunchy Catholic Momma's Stash Bash I'm able to feed into my addiction of sewing and not just sewing but sewing little girls dresses one of my favorite projects. I've always said I've never I've been busy going through my fabric stash to see what left overs I have from dresses I've made Caila. It just so happens I have a bunch of extra fabric so off to my trusty sewing machine I went with a mission. Caila is so excited because she will have matching dresses with her new baby sister. I still have another three dresses cut out and I just didn't get around to sewing them up before this post, it's so exciting because it's like getting free clothes for the new baby.
(Sorry for the poor quality photos, my camera is still in the shop but should be fixed by the end of this week, so these were taken from my VERY BASIC phone camera.)

Please check out crunchy catholic momma for more stash bash project ideas.
Thanks for stopping by:)

Weekly art fun
So sorry we missed last weeks art post but here we are this week last week was just a crazy week and last Sat was my Birthday we decided to just have fun together so I didn't do much on the computer. This week we decided to use our ARTistic Pursuit curriculum which we can't rave enough about!! We're on unit 9 and it talks about shapes, and how you can see what an object is just by it's shape. The inspiring artwork used for this lesson was called "The City"

Our lesson was to pick an outdoor scene draw the shapes we saw and cut them out. We also decided to make them fun crazy colors like Fernand Léger did in his art work. It was a lot of fun and here are their finished products...
Caila did a picture of her swing set..

Rick did a picture of our chicken coop with crazy colored chickens..lol

Did you do any fun art projects this past week or even in the past please feel free to join in on the fun and link up!!
